New political party launched in Zimbabwe – SABC (VIDEO)

Since Zimbabwe’s independence in 1980, there has been no doubt that the dominant voice in the country’s politics has been that of the governing Party Zanu PF. The landscape changed when the official opposition party the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) was formed in 1999.

A number of other voices come and gone over time and more recently after the ousting of long-time President Robert Mugabe in 2017. A new movement has just been formed called Tyson Wa Bantu which is looking to former Mugabe cabinet Minister Saviour Kasukuwere for inspiration and leadership.
