The fraud and money laundering case against ECG church leader prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary has been postponed to Wednesday. A postponement was granted to allow defence lawyers to prepare for a bail application.
The couple was arrested last Friday. Meanwhile, hundreds of ECG members protested against Bushiri’s arrest outside the court in the Pretoria CBD. Protesting ECG members threatened to boycott the forthcoming general elections if Bushiri’s charges are not dropped.
