Botswana on Thursday agreed to extend a credit facility of up to $1 million to Zimbabwe, as part of renewed efforts to elevate their bilateral ties in key strategic areas of mutual interest.

Botswana’s President Mokgweetsi Masisi has joined other SADC countries in calling for an end to sanctions on Zimbabwe.
Masisi was in Harare on his one day visit

Zimbabwe’s vice president Constantino Chiwenga made a first public appearance in Harare, where he accompanied President Emmerson Mnangagwa to receive Botswana’s President Mokgweetsi Masisi. Masisi arrived in Harare on Wednesday afternoon.
