PTUZ secretary general Raymond Majongwe says the government is being inconsiderate by failing to pay civil servants bonuses when they have bought cars for Zanu PF election campaign.

Zimbabwean Civil servants have rejected a 100 dollar advance pay packet that the Government had offered to pay them while they wait to receive their June salaries. Their salaries have been pushed back to mid July as Zimbabwe’s government struggles to pay workers wages.

The Zimbabwean government and civil servants have failed to resolve a dispute over delayed salary payments. Government employees’ June wages have been deferred by two weeks. This means some people will only be paid in July.

Zimbabwe’s decision to cap the salaries and perks of executives of state-owned firms has done little to pacify civil servants.
