HARARE businessman Philip Chiyangwa has formally launched his bid for the Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) presidency, promising to bring light to a game that has been staggering in the darkness for years.

Zimbabwe is the only African country not competing in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers after being disqualified by FIFA for failing to pay a former coach. Allegations of corruption have angered millions of football fans in the country and the government is set to intervene. Haru Mutasa, for Aljazeera, has more from Harare.
