Chamisa says SA should assist Zimbabwe overcome its challenges – SABC

The leader of Zimbabwe’s former MDC Alliance, Nelson Chamisa, who has since launched a new party, Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) says South Africa must assist its neighbour to address its economic and political challenges.

Chamisa says if not, Zimbabweans will continue to cross the border to South Africa seeking greener pastures and political asylum.

Speaking to SABC News International Editor, Sophie Mokoena, Chamisa also called on leaders on the continent to address the current challenge of coups in West Africa.

Why don’t he say ,he will fix the economy so Zimbabweans won’t cross the border seeking green pastures from other countries.
We are tired of toothless dogs they can only back biting dololo

Why should they ? What have you done to over come the challenges people face under you. Councils collect money and is misused under you . What ever is done by people under you it’s you as well they do as they Please towns have turned so dirty all under you . All we know is you telling us you are young and you can fix everything if am not mistaken you are a prophet 😂 just tell us when is your last try , cause we need some one to remove those zanu thieves and it’s not you who will ever do that

This is perhaps the most important talk by the CCC kingpin. Yes, they must not bury their heads in the sand while ignoring the root cause of the problem. They must mention it by name instead of skirting around the issue

He might win these coming elections, all he’ll do after that he’ll visit Africa & the world promoting Zimbabwe, after that he’ll remind every country that Zim is a sovereign state, therefore no interference from any country will be tolerated..

It would be better to ASK SA FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND NOT TELL THEM THEY SHOULD ASSIST.LIFE DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT.DEMANDS DO NOT GAIN SUPPORT.

Margaret A Doman In this case he is right. In all past elections when Zimbabweans tried to democratically vote ZANU PF out of power, they have been frustrated by the ANC stepping in to protect ZANU PF and even looking the other way while ZANU PF rigged elections. By choosing to side with ZANU PF at the expence of ordinary Zimbabwean citizens, ANC created the migration problem they face today and the only way to solve it is for them to help in the restoration of democracy in Zimbabwe. They will also benefit from this, so it is in their best interest to step in and assist.

Barney R. Czov they won’t do that bcos economically on they are benefiting more than us I look at our trade statistics the rise of Zim is SA s disadvantage investors will flock to Zim

    • Barney R. Czov

Hope Ganji South African citizens will have the final say in this, as they are sick and tired of Zimbabeans taking their jobs and opportunities in general. Judging from last election results, even the ANC has realised that cracking down on illegal immigration get you votes.

Helping how as if they don’t have their own problems Zimbabwe problem must be solved by Zimbabweans nt begging for help as if they don’t have theirs

  • Tendayi Jali

Way not ask Mozambique and Zambia and Botswana to help you it’s all your neighbors country

  • mu Kona Zwothe

@Sophie_Mokoena That ‘should assist’ entitled mentality is problematic. What if SA choose not to?

  • Arnold Dennis Dziva Nox

Leave South Africa alone and go and tell European countries to free Zimbabwe from Sunctions he will not see this thing again

    • Wilo Wilocious

Yok€ls like you are the ones who are always fooled by the incompetent Zanu regime into believing that; there are sanctions. Travel bans are preventing corrupt Zanu politicians from spending the looted monies in Europe.

  • Isrial Fainos Maburo

True,we haven’t started flocking into SA yet, millions are in transit come rigged 2023 elections

  • Wilo Wilocious

Good words from Chikomana BUT; how can an ‘ independent’ country fails to understand that; jobs need to be created to prevent Zimbos from flooding SA? It shows that; Zanu regime politicians are useless and always blame travel bans. Ptuuuuuuuu
