As Zimbabwe’s energy woes continue, there’s been a mushrooming of many small scale independent power producers. The country is seeing entrepreneurs setting up solar power farms in an effort to alleviate the huge power deficit.
Zimbabwe currently only produces one-thousand megawatts of electricity daily – which is half of the peak demand. This has resulted in rolling blackouts – some lasting up to 18 hours. The solar farmers hope they help improve Zimbabwe’s power generation
