Temba Mliswa considers resigning after making a mistake – VIDEO

Norton legislator Temba Mliswa said he might resign as Parliamentary Portfolio Committee Chairperson on Mines following disagreements with some Zanu-PF legislators on procedure regarding the Hwange Colliery probe

The committee was supposed to gather oral evidence from Hwange Colliery Company Limited (HCCL) shareholder and businessman, Nicholas van Hoogstraten. However, some legislators such as Honourable Royi Bhila (Chiredzi North), John Paradza (Gutu West, Leonard Chikomba (Gokwe-Kabuyuni) and Dzuma Soul (Buhera West) could not have any of it arguing that the matter is sub judice and cannot be discussed in Parliament.

The committee eventually adjourned after three hours and Mliswa eventually apologised to committee members for his stance on the matter
