Africa’s Top Universities: Zim Women’s University

Up until 1988 Zimbabwean school leavers had to fiercely compete for limited places at the only University in the country – the University of Zimbabwe. Only a few students made it, very few of those were female even though there was an affirmative action policy allowing them to qualify with lower grades. Now those who failed to make it back then, have been given a second chance thanks to the Women’s University in Africa.
