The majority of Zimbabweans continue to live in poverty, despite government efforts to revamp the economy. In a just released report, the International Monetary Fund says the gap between the very rich and poor continues to grow.

Zimbabwe is struggling to service its debts. Its Finance Minister, Patrick Chinamasa, says that the public has to be taxed more to help pay current and past debts. Critics however argue that tax hikes now, will kill off what little growth Zimbabwe has.
Zimbabwe’s health sector has been struggling due to ongoing economic difficulties. The majority of Zimbabweans are exposed to killer diseases and no treatment as a result. But government is now working around the clock to train more health professionals, to provide basic services.
