With the national team booted out of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers and the football association plagued by administrative problems, the game in Zimbabwe had become anything but beautiful. However the national team’s qualification for AFCON 2017 has given local fans reason to smile again.

Zimbabwe is the only African country not competing in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers after being disqualified by FIFA for failing to pay a former coach.
